Jeff Sand

Jeff Sand has extensive experience in employment and consumer rights law.  He spent the first six years of his career as a defense lawyer at two of the country’s premier defense firms, where he defended Fortune 500 companies in class action and single plaintiff lawsuits.  Jeff then left “Big Law” to represent employees and consumers, rather than large corporations. Since Jeff joined Weiner & Sand LLC, he has recovered millions of dollars for his clients through jury trials, arbitrations, and confidential settlements.  Jeff has been named a Super Lawyer every year since 2015, a peer-nominated distinction given to less than 2.5% of the lawyers in Georgia.  He has received this Super Lawyer recognition both in the areas of employment law and consumer law. He has also been named to Georgia Trend Magazine’s list of “Legal Elite”, and has been recognized by the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association for his excellence in trial practice as a recipient of the W. Fred. Orr II Memorial Scholarship.

Jeff’s consumer rights law practice focuses on litigation under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including claims for credit reporting errors, employment background reports, tenant screening reports, and identity theft.  Jeff’s FCRA experience focuses on both class action as well as single-plaintiff lawsuits.

Jeff’s employment law experience includes litigating and counseling clients in matters involving claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour disputes.  He also represents clients in contract negotiations, including severance agreements, commission disputes, and non-compete and non-solicitation agreements.

Jeff maintains a nationwide law practice.  He has litigated cases across the country, including in Alabama, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.
