Get Free Copies of Your Equifax, Experian, and Trans Union Credit Reports

Posted by Andrew Weiner | May 13, 2021 | 0 Comments

It's simple to obtain free copies of your Equifax, Experian, and Trans Union credit reports.  Log onto and you can request a copy of each report.  You should be able to view the reports online, but sometimes you will have to make a request through the mail.

Once you have copies of the reports, review them for anything that looks out of place.  Are the account balances wrong?  Are the reports showing incorrect missed payments?  Is someone else's name on the report?  Is there an account listed on the report that you don't recognize?  Does it say you have charge offs that you don't have?

The Fair Credit Reporting Act is a federal law that governs credit reporting by credit reporting agencies and creditors.  If there are errors on your reports and the errors have caused you damage, the attorneys at Weiner & Sand LLC can help you determine how to deal with those errors and whether there are legal claims to pursue.
